DOOMSDAY.......slight change

Although I said that I was thinking of doing disease and nukes for my i-search paper, some further research I have become torn between whether I want to do those or the rapture. I feel as though I will switch to the rapture. I feel that the rapture, in all of its many forms, would just be more fun to research and right about. It may be a little tougher to research, but I think that the added entertainment will make it all worth it.

  1. I think you will do a great job of making it entertaining. I thought the squirrel army idea was hilarious!

  2. The Rapture is a well documented and accepted form of Apocalypse for many people. However, it takes quite a different form of research compared to man-made Apocalypses. Statistical data would be an awkward path. You can get a census of believers to non-believers, use questions to rank it against other forms, or ask about a specific part of the Rapture, but that's about it. A historical deep dive could prove to be bountiful, displaying the evolution of the Rapture and how its telling has been altered over the centuries. The potency of the Rapture as an Apocalypse is unquestionable. An omnipotent power isn't exactly something you can hide from, so thankfully "would it work?" isn't a question that needs to be asked. Giving grounds for the Rapture to be a possibility is the hard part, and would probably end up being a 'given' for the sake of writing the paper.
